We offer three types of orientations. Families are welcome to attend more than one type of orientation if they wish; however, the number of events attended does not affect admissions decisions. All families must attend an orientation before they are able to apply to The Little School.
All orientation tours are adult-only events (infants welcome).
Large Group Orientations
Our evening Large Group Orientations are in-depth presentations about our program and philosophy, presented by the director and supplemented by video clips from our classrooms. You will also receive a brief tour of the facility by parents and have time to ask questions of parents and the director.
Our daytime Parent-Led Orientations will give you an introduction to our approach, an opportunity to observe in our classrooms, a tour and of our facility and Q&A time with the Executive Director. Out of consideration to the children, space is limited.
Please note that due to the high demand and low number of spots available for these events, they are only open to families with a child eligible to attend school for the 2018-19 school year.
Transitional Kindergarten/MFPM Orientations
Transitional Kindergarten/MFPM Orientations are for families considering entry into programs designed for children aged 4.6 and older. They offer an in-depth presentation about the TK and MFPM programs by our Executive Director, observations of both classrooms, and a brief tour.
